El Waziery was a legendary figure in Egyptian Simsimiyyia music. Revered by many as a musical deity, Waziery was famous for his unique style of 5-string Simsimiyyia playing, colourful stories and ability to stay up partying non-stop over several consecutive nights - even when he was well into his 70s. In this song El Tanbura pay tribute to the memory of Waziery, their musical mentor and other friends who have lived along the path of the Suez Canal.
